Embarrassed by messy Chaguaramas

by cannaorganicgreenscam

I am currently in Trinidad on a brief vacation with my family. We decided to visit Chaguaramas to see the changes since my last visit. I was extremely disappointed when I had to search to find a beach with the least garbage.

With the amount of money being spent by the Government each year, you would think keeping our beaches clean should be a simple task.

Where is the maintenance? Why is grass growing everywhere? Can we get modern parking facilities without a man in a dilapidated booth? How about changing for facilities with toilets? Am I asking for too much in these modern times? How about disposing of unused vending booths?

I don’t know about you, but I don’t like stepping on or seeing garbage floating in the water. I’ve done some travelling in my time, and I would be embarrassed to invite anyone to Chaguaramas.

I plan to visit Maracas—hopefully, I would be encouraged to take my family there.
