CHARLOTTE Dawson has revealed fears for her youngest son Jude after he suffered a near-fatal experience.
The reality TV star, 31, told in February how Jude – who she shares with fiance Matt Sarsfield – was rushed to hospital with breathing problems.
But it wasn’t the first time he’d suffered such a terrifying experience after being kept in when he was just weeks old after contracting Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).
Now Charlotte, the daughter of late comedian Les Dawson, has revealed she worries Jude will have long-term issues with his breathing.
She told new! magazine: “I worry he’s going to struggle with his breathing now or he might have asthma.
“Jude was in hospital with wires everywhere and an oxygen mask on. Seeing him like that just broke my heart, even though he was in the best place possible.

“I didn’t know anything about RSV, but they told me at the hospital he could have died if I hadn’t brought him in.”
According to the NHS, RSV is a viral infection which is also referred to as bronchiolitis and affects babies and children under two.
Charlotte, who also shares three-year-old Noah with ruby player Matt, recently insisted awareness of RSV needs to be raised after spending time in hospital with Jude.
She wrote on Instagram: “Another scary little moment with our cherub but he is on the mend.

“Bronchitis/RSV really needs to be talked about more! From when he was last in hospital with it all 7 weeks I saw the difference in him now at 7 months being able to fight it off quicker & he is stronger and older.

The 4 signs of RSV every parent must know
Most of the time RSV symptoms are very mild and can be managed at home.
But in some cases, it can escalate, leading to deadly complications.
In very young infants, symptoms include:
- Refusal to breastfeed or bottle-feed
- Breathing more quickly and noisily (wheezing)
- Seeming very tired, upset or inactive
- Signs of dehydration – lack of tears when crying, little or no urine in their nappy for six hours, and cool, dry skin
In older kids, signs are similar to mild cold symptoms, including congestion, runny nose, fever, cough and sore throat.
