A Nigerian bookseller on Facebook, Emeka Nobis, has made a stinging remark about the trending online mining platforms and people who indulge in them.

His post which has garnered several mixed reactions qualified online miners as unwise people who are chasing after the wind.

Emeka criticized their desire or belief that they could become millionaires from the mining platforms without having any sustainable skill in real life.

Though this was an attempt to gear people towards using their energy for other important things, many reasoned his manner of approach was rather insulting and condescending.

Many took offense at his attitude and dropped their comments:

Geoffrey Nwankpa: People have made millions from tapping. I can’t say the same for those buying your courses and books. Let people do their thing

Brian Jonah Dennis: …we are not expecting to make life changing money. It is just free money. And in the industry, there are good projects and bad projects just as there is in every other industry. Also, we didn’t invest one kobo. If it pays, we celebrate, if e no pay, na we go still use our hand yab ourselves. But the best part is we did not lose any money.
