Some male ‘X’ users have taken to the microblogging platform to state that it is not ladylike for a woman to speak pidgin English to a man who isn’t close to her.
They also described it as rude and gutter behaviour, stating that it needs to stop.
One X user wrote: “I don’t think speaking ‘PIDGIN’ as a lady to a guy you’re not close to yet (or a guy you’re trying to have as your friend) is ‘LADY-LIKE’
“Please stop!!!”
Another X user responded: “Bro! That is gutter behavior, Ladies need to stop!”
“Generally, it’s rude to speak pidgin with anyone at all without getting to know them first.”
