In a shocking incident, the body of a woman was found near Kabisahi in Napang Panchayat under Bhadrak’s Bhandaripokhari block on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Tapaswini Das, the second wife of Sipun Das. It is believed that she was pregnant.
As per reports, Tapaswini, who hailed from Napang village, had a love marriage with Sipun a year back. Her lifeless body was found lying near Chandima Ground this morning.
The family members of Tapaswini alleged that her husband and in-laws had been torturing her soon after her marriage. They alleged that her in-laws murdered her and threw her body on the road.
After getting information, Bhandaripokhari police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
Asked about the findings and cause of death, the police refused to comment until the post-mortem report comes.
