US forces shoot down 8 Houthi drones over Red Sea

A US naval destroyer shot down one drone Friday morning and fighter jets and another warship downed seven later in the day, while American forces destroyed four more on the ground before they could be launched, the US Central Command said Saturday on social media.

    The US Central Command said on Saturday that US forces engaged and shot down several unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Red Sea on Friday, and also destroyed four drones that Houthi forces were preparing to launch from Yemen.
