[HOMESTRETCH] Siargao’s happy islanders: Andi, Philmar, & Marama’s life on the surf

SURIGAO DEL NORTE, Philippines – This episode of HOMESTRETCH brings you stories from Siargao island in the Southern Philippines famous for its waves for surfing. But beyond the surfing enthusiasts and athletes, more people have been drawn to the island.

Poster girl for this is actress Andi Eigenmann, who’ve since moved to the island and started a family there. She is married to top surfer Philmar Alipayo and has two kids with him.

Andi, Philmar, and another top surfer Marama Tokong chat with show host Pató Gregorio on why they find surfing and Siargao life-changing, and give a glimpse of what their daily life on the island is like.

HOMESTRETCH aims to tell the stories of people that inspire us with their struggles and triumphs, and the places that help define our spirit as a nation.
