- The renowned comedian urged content creators to focus on positive popularity rather than negative clout
Comedian Terence Creative has criticised people who recorded the late Fred Omondi’s body.
Fred was buried on Saturday, June 29, in Sega, Siaya county.
The funeral attracted many politicians and celebrities, including former prime minister Raila Odinga, Governor James Orengo, Babu Owino, and Jalang’o.
Why was Terence disappointed after Fred’s funeral?
Taking to social media after the burial, Terence faulted content creators who captured Fred’s body and posted it on social media
“And I’m very much disappointed by some people from social media. We are all in the clout business, but I believe in positive popularity… You don’t have to look for negative things in everything. I’m so sad. First of all, it started when you were doing Fred’s viewing on Friday. Somebody came with a camera and started recording the body directly from the casket,” he said.
The comedian added:
“I’m wondering. We had people who came there and did an interview; you can get that content and go with it. You don’t have to people show the body. People are mourning. You don’t have to take videos of his body and start circulating all over the internet just because you want likes. People are traumatised. It is very unfair. It is very unfair for those who are looking for content in that manner.”
